Hands on: Official Digitally Imported app (beta) for Windows Phone

DI.FM for Windows Phone

We announced a few weeks agone that the popular electronic music streaming site Digitally Imported (www.di.fm) was beta testing their official app for Windows Phone. Tonight, we figured we show you the current condition of the beta and how information technology all works.

Digitally Imported is a complimentary music streaming site, though users can opt for a paid "Premium" experience like on Pandora. That feature enables 256kbps streaming with no ads and that membership level is reflected in the app.

The DI.FM app has full access to all of the site's channels, including shows, a slumber timer, streaming options based off of connection (cellular or Wi-Fi), a buffering meter and data usage monitoring.  The app is fast and fluid and although information technology lacks some of the more advanced features of the third-political party app Beem, so far it's building a solid foundation.

DI.FM is currently at 0.seven in the beta stage, so presumably they have more features and polishing to become before information technology goes public. Nosotros'll of course proceed you posted every bit to the app'due south status simply so far, we're actually enjoying it and look forward to another official app landing for Windows Phone seven.10 and viii devices.

For now, watch our video bout above and get gear up to trip the light fantastic toe.
